Sport New Zealand - Get Kids Active

Sport New Zealand have put together a number of resources to help tamariki be active and ensure a healthy lifestyle.

Zero to Five Years - Help develop movement experiences for children under five with Active Movement.  A number of brochures providing a variety of fun activities to get little tamariki moving.

Healthy Active Learning - We know that getting tamariki involved in physical activity provides them a better start in life. That’s why Sport NZ has partnered with the Ministries of Health and Education on the exciting new initiative Healthy Active Learning. Healthy Active Learning is focused on providing tamariki with quality physical experiences and supporting schools in delivering healthy food and water only policies. It’s based on a successful pilot programme and in 2020 it was rolled out to 300 schools nationwide. In 2022 the initiative will be expanded to 800 schools.
