WAVE Awards
WAVE stands for Wellbeing and Vitality in Education with the motto "me oranga tonu, me ako tonu, me whakatika haere / better health, greater learning, brighter futures".
The WAVE Award is a way of recognising and celebrating a whole-of-setting approach taken to address a health and wellbeing priority area. This involves the ECE, school or tertiary setting working with their WAVE facilitator to develop a plan for their selected health priority area. Once the agreed actions are completed, settings receive a WAVE Award.
